Hack and tuition

Shanter Riding Centre has something to suit everyone, young or old,
whether you prefer hacking or wish to train in a specific discipline -
our team of friendly qualified instructors can cater to your individual
needs.

HACKING

The beautiful Maidens Seafront and the Culzean Park have endless
leisure riding opportunities. We can offer treks and hacks ranging from
1 hour to 3 hours rides.

The Centre is only minutes away from the Beach which provides the
perfect opportunity for shorter hacks starting from the beginning rider.

From this authentic setting our clients can enjoy a one our hack or trek.
This ride goes the whole length of the beach in the picturesque village
of Maidens and is suitable for all ages and experiences.

A two hour hack or trek will take you along the beach and through Culzean
Park allowing the rider to experience areas of Culzean walkers seldom.
It includes beautiful views of the castle grounds and is also suitable
for all experiences.

A three hour hack which takes on Croy Shore as well as the previous
rides. This ride is only available to experienced riders and also depends
on the tide.

TUITION

We teach to a high standard and specialize in teaching Dressage. So whether
you are new to the horse world or are wanting to improve on existing talent,
we will have a horse and instructor to suite your needs.

We are proud to offer the standard of tuition we can offer in each discipline.
With a full size outdoor school and full set of show jumps - we have all the
facilities to improve you in whatever area you choose.

Whatever the standard of your riding, we can offer private or group tuition
on flatwork, dressage or show jumping. We are highly experienced and we
motivate riders to gain the most from their lessons. You are welcome to join
one of our group lessons at suitable level or you can book individual private
lessons to teach your first steps on the horse or to improve existing talent.
