Shanter Riding Centre has something to offer everyone – young or old. Whether you are a happy hacker or wish to train in a specific discipline - our team of friendly qualified instructors can cater to your individual needs.
Hacking
We are situated only minutes away from the beach with very little road work providing the perfect opportunity for either a 1 hour or 2 hour hack.
Our 1 hour ride takes you the length of Maidens beach and back allowing you to take in the stunning scenery and views over Ailsa Craig and Arran. This ride is suitable for beginners and the more experienced rider alike.
Cantering along the beach
Our 2 hour hack will take you along the beach and through Culzean Park allowing the rider to experience areas of Culzean walkers seldom visit. It includes beautiful views of the castle grounds and is suitable for all experiences yet again.

TUITION
We teach to a high standard and specialize in Dressage / Jumping and preparation for BHS exams. So whether you are new to the horse world or wish to improve on existing talent, we will have a horse and instructor to suit your needs.
Why not practice some jumping?
We are proud of the standard of tuition we can offer. With a large 20m x 60m outdoor school and full set of show jumps – we have all the facilities to improve your riding.
